Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data Tiqora collects, why, and what rights you have. Tiqora is operated by BC Smart Solutions IT Consulting FZE ("Tiqora", "we", "us"). We follow the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021) and other laws that apply.

1. Who this policy covers

Business clients: salons, clinics and other businesses that use Tiqora ("Businesses").
End customers: people who message a Business on WhatsApp or book an appointment through Tiqora.
Website visitors to tiqora.ae.

2. Our role

For end customers' data, the Business is in charge of the data (the controller) and Tiqora processes it only on the Business's instructions to run its bookings and messages (the processor). For our own Business clients' account data and our website, Tiqora is the controller.

3. What we collect

From Businesses: business name, owner and staff names, phone numbers, email, trade licence details, services, prices, opening hours and billing information.
From end customers: name, WhatsApp phone number, appointment details (service, date, time, staff, branch), package balances, and for home visits the address you give. We also process the messages you exchange with the Business's WhatsApp number, as far as needed to answer and manage bookings.
Technical data: basic logs such as dates, times and error reports needed to keep the service secure and working.

We do not ask for and do not want sensitive data such as health records, religion or payment card numbers in chats. Please don't send them.

4. Why we use it

To reply to customers, make, change and cancel appointments, and send reminders.
To send messages the Business has switched on, such as come-back reminders, package reminders, Google review invitations and offers. The Business is responsible for having its customers' permission for marketing messages, and customers who opt out stop receiving them.
To show the Business its dashboard: bookings, revenue and staff numbers.
To bill Businesses, provide support, and keep the service secure.
To meet legal obligations.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for our own advertising.

5. Automated replies

Tiqora uses automated systems, including AI language models, to read incoming messages and write replies about bookings. Messages are processed only to provide the service to the Business. Customers can ask to speak to a person at any time, and the Business can reply directly.

6. Who we share data with

Meta Platforms, which operates WhatsApp and the WhatsApp Business Platform that carries the messages. Meta's own privacy policy also applies to messages sent through WhatsApp.
Service providers we use to run Tiqora, such as cloud hosting, database, email and AI model providers, under contracts that require them to protect the data and use it only for our service.
Authorities, when the law requires it.

Some providers may process data outside the UAE. When that happens we use providers with appropriate safeguards, as required by UAE law.

7. How long we keep data

We keep data while the Business uses Tiqora. When a Business closes its account, we give it an export on request and delete its data within 30 days, unless the law requires us to keep some records (for example invoices) for longer.

8. Security

Data is encrypted in transit, access is limited to people who need it to run or support the service, and Businesses can only see their own data. If we become aware of a security incident affecting personal data, we will inform the affected Businesses without undue delay and notify authorities where the law requires.

9. Our website and cookies

tiqora.ae does not use advertising or tracking cookies. The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which processes visitors' IP addresses and may set strictly necessary security cookies to protect the site, and it loads fonts from Google Fonts. If we add analytics in future, we will update this policy and ask for consent where required.

10. Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, object to or restrict its use, or receive a copy. End customers can stop offers and reminders at any time by replying STOP to the Business on WhatsApp. If you are an end customer, you can also contact the Business directly; we will help the Business answer your request.

11. Children

Tiqora is meant for adults. Bookings for children should be made by a parent or guardian.

12. Changes

We may update this policy. We will change the date above and tell Businesses about important changes.
